Flamenco Beach (Playa Flamenco)

I JusT came back from Puerto rico 09-01-08. We spent 3 days in Culebra and went every single day to Flamenco beach!

1st thing: you'll need car. Rent from Jerry's Jeep. he is an amazing guy who is helping out the animals of Culebra who suffer from HIV and other diseases!

2nd! You'll want to stay here! if you come here, be prepared to leave your heart behind! i Left mine under the sand of Flamenco beach! It's an AMAZING beach! MOst pUertO rican's havent even visited this beach! it's kinda secluded, you practically have the whole beach to your self!

3rd! YOu MUST try the pina coladas from there! they are awsome! Their frituras are very good too! try empanada de camarones.. yummmy!

4th! MAMACITAS...it's cool, but wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy over priced! i read all the reviews before going, i was excited because everyone said that it was good, which it was but, not great!
The menu is very small you get a choice of 5 items. & those items are crazy priced! but it's the experience. the Coconut shrimp is sooo good, but not enough! they only give you 4 :(

5th! TAke a lot of pics.. it's an amazing place, be very carful with the sun, i am a plae salvadorian but i burned sooo quickly! o not use tanning lotions, use sun protection!!!

My review can't explain enough what a beautiful beach and island culebra is! The people are welcoming, and great!
the sand on Flamenco beach is hot and perfect! The waves and the water on the beach are perfect! You can see yourself right through the water!
